Just got in from a wonderful evening, spent with most of my crew. Ate the most amazing tasting fish ever, washed down with quite a large quantity of wine. Yum!
We didn’t arrive until five thirty this morning and even at that hour, it was hot. Planned on meeting some of the girls at the beach (our hotel is right on the beach!) at noon but I slept through the alarm and didn’t wake up until after five pm! It didn’t leave me much time to get dressed before meeting a few of the others in the lobby.
Venturing out onto the street, it felt like being on holiday, with bars lining the promenade and people sitting outside eating and drinking in the balmy air I love.
At the restaurant, I imagined what it might be like to be here with David and I was left to wonder if he would enjoy it or not. One of the things I miss about Ben is how much we had in common. I think it’s really important to be with someone who shares your interests and enjoys things in the same way.
With the amount of wine I just consumed, I probably shouldn’t start a letter to David, but I’m going to anyway. When I sober up tomorrow, I’ll decide if I want to send it or not.
